My memories of grandma:
Teaching us card games while smoking her brown cigarettes.
Always humming the same tune. I sometimes catch myself humming it. Fishing in the pond with hot dogs like Mel said and feeding fish to the stray cats. Eating fresh green beans from her garden and the fruit leather she would make. She was a lot of fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. She always had a contented air about her. I wish I could have spent more time with her as I got older.
My favorite memory of grandma is fishing in the pond and using hot dogs for the catfish. And climbing the big tree around the bend down the hill and the countless hours of Michigan Rummy and milkshakes in her hideous polka dot cups. We’ll miss you grandma but happy you’re back with grandpa
