Peggy Joanne LeBel's Obituary
Peggy Joanne LeBel, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2022. Peggy was born on June 18, 1952, to Lloyd and Dorothy (Wolfe) Phillips in Muskegon, MI, where she spent most of her life. She was the youngest of five sisters. Peggy was a graduate of Mona Shores High School class of 1970. After caring for her girls in their younger years she went on to run a successful small business where she was able to use her gift of creativity and design. Peggy loved going to the beach, pool, and all things sunshine, which she lovingly passed on to her daughters. She also enjoyed boating, fishing, and travel. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, Nana, and friend to many. She will be remembered for her smile, laughter, and willingness to have fun. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry LeBel; two daughters, Kristine (Robert) Horan and Rebecca (Jose) Gonzalez; four grandchildren: Ayden, Ethan, Liam, and Ellie; and two sisters: Pamela (James) Blackey and Priscilla (Larry) Campbell. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Patricia Holbrook and Phyllis Zamora. A PRAYER SERVICE will be taking place at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, March 9, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441), with VISITATION taking place from 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peggy can be made out to The Noah Project of Muskegon.
