I have just learned today about Peter's death. My deepest sympathy to the family. Peter and I go back a long way from St. Mary's to Catholic Central. I have only run into him a few times during the years but knew when I walked away from him that he was a happy man. Some people make the world more special just by being in it.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all of Pete's family. I graduated from MCC with Pete. He was a guy that never was at a loss for words whether in class or out. Pete was a friend to all who knew him. He will be missed by all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Mary Ann (Reeths) Scofield##imported-end##
When I think of Peter from our school days together (He went to St. Mary's and I went to St. Jean's but we hung out with some of the same people and we went to Catholic Central together.), I see a tall awkward guy with big feet - especially the big feet. I have not seen him much since those days, so his image is frozen in time as an 18-year-old. I did not even know he loved sailing. It sounds like he helped create a wonderful family and an extended group of friends. Peter, I am sorry to see you go. I will pray for you and your family and look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.##imported-begin##Joe Cote##imported-end##
To Judy and all of Pete's family,
I look back on the Muskegon Catholic Central days with fondness as I think of Pete. He and I shared most of our classes together. He was an easy man to get to know and a gentle man, loved by all. I know you will miss him ... we all will.
God bless and sustain you.

Dear Judy: So sorry to read about Pete. He and I had many lengthy conversations and cocktails about a wide variety of topics. He was a very knowledgable man and I enjoyed his company. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Kim Prow##imported-begin##Kim Prow##imported-end##

After a great sailing race a while back, Peter sent me a great quote that I posted in my office - it hangs there even today. "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Cow!...what a ride!"
Ya lived it up Pete!
Love ya! You will be missed.##imported-begin##Jill (Montgomery) Keast and the Shooting Star gang##imported-end##
