Philip Sanders Troyer's Obituary
Mr. Philip Sanders Troyer, age 84, passed away at his home on Monday, October 21, 2024. He was born in Belding, Michigan on October 23, 1940 to Francis and Selma (Sanders) Troyer and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1958. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1961-1965. Philip owned and operated three local businesses, Panel N Plus, Ambassador Apartments, and Meineke Muffler prior to his retirement in 2002. He had been a member of First Baptist Church, Evanston Avenue Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and Nortonville Gospel Chapel. Philip was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Sons of War of 1812. He enjoyed studying History, politics, and was a voracious reader. He also enjoyed traveling and collecting antiques. Philip is survived by his son, Brenton Philip Troyer; brother, Stephen (Mary) Troyer; and sister, Sandra Carlson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Diane Troyer; parents, Francis Troyer and Selma Munder; and brother, Alan Troyer. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with VISITATION one hour prior to his service.
