I was in the Teen Challenge program on Pontaluna Rd twice, (1993, 1995). It was the most significant experience of my life, going to chapel, daily. God blessed with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Rest in Peace my brother in Christ, Pastor Phil❤️🙏🏽
I entered. Teen Challenge. In the late November 1973. I was a broken. Young man , and as time. progressed I. Ate and consumed. Scriptures and. Worked,and prayed with Extreme Passion and Joy. Then I was Introduced to Singing. Out on the Ralley's. To various Churches. Around the. State. An Listening to and having. Brother. Phil warming up to Singing individual songs I found Power inside of Me and. AVoice with the. Glory of Almighty God's Fire within it.. when ever I Walk into a Church That still Has. Books and Allows. Members to Sing I am Asked To Sing Several Hymns. Then
I. Quiet Everyone and have a few Believers join me And We Sing TheLighthouse. And. I Tear-up. Because I can. Feel Brother Philip. Standing. Right. Next to and. Behind Me. He. Didn't. Write the. Song yet When He. Sang. It. Jesus Christ. Seemed to be. Sitting in the. Very. Midst. Of. The gathering.. I turned 20. Just after I had. Arrived. Burned out and weighing only 120 pounds. When I was on the farm I usually weighed 220. Beyond. Grateful. Is not even close to defining. The. Purity of God's Vast. Love Which Phil showed and. Invested into the guys and. Myself.. I am just now. Posting,this. Because I just. Now. Came. Across it.. I am. Flooded with. Deep. Breathing. Emotions He lived that. Song and. Laid His. Life. Down. For. The. Love of. God.Thank You.
Pastor Phil was the director of Muskegon Teen Challenge in 1982-1983 when I went through the program. It forever changed my life and now at 62 years old in 2024, I am still loving Jesus as the Lord of my life. Thank you Pastor Phil, I will see you in heaven one day soon.
