Phillip L. Tennant's Obituary
Mr. Phillip Tennant, born on December 17, 1941, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the age of 80. He was a dedicated man of God and lived his life as a faithful servant. Phil met his wife, the former Diane Krueger, while out driving around 58 years ago. They were married three months later in North Muskegon on March 20, 1964. He retired from Brunswick in 2004 after 38 years. Phil enjoyed riding his many Yamaha motorcycles with Diane. Together, the two had many trips and adventures out west, including a three-week bike trip to Yellowstone National Park and several cruises. He attended church services at Calvary Church in Grand Rapids and led many bible classes based on the sermons at Community United Methodist Church. Phil will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by his wife, Diane; children, Ronald (Deb) Tennant Sr and Christine (Steven) Lohman; grandchildren, Ronald “RJ” Tennant Jr (Jaime Kuhn), Kaylee Tennant, and Sarah Tennant; brother, Arthur Tennant; and sister-in-law, Ann Tennant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Alice (Almquist) Tennant, brother, Gerald Tennant; sister-in-law, Nadine Tennant; and mother-in-law, Gloria Stockwell. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM, Friday, January 7 at Community United Methodist Church (1614 Ruddiman Dr., North Muskegon, 49445). Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phil’s memory can be made to Harbor Hospice Foundation or a charity of choice.
