Phoebe L. Cuddington-Dykema's Obituary
Phoebe L. Nowicki Cuddington Dykema, age 91, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was born October 28, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Harry and Alice (Johnson) Nowicki. Phoebe was a homemaker for many years traveling with her husband Jack in the US Army for 21 years and later after Jack's death she worked for General Motors for 10 years where she retired, and she and her husband Fred spent 25 years in Florida as snowbirds. Phoebe loved her friends at Waverly Meadows dearly. Her coffee mornings and Tuesday night Bingo was the highlight of her life and they will sadly miss her very much. SURVIVORS include four daughters: Kimberly (Robert) Bain, Kerry (Roberto) Martinez, Karen Cuddington, and Kristina Cuddington; step-sons: Daniel (Judy) Dykema and Jeffrey (Debbie) Swihart; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Peter Nowicki; sisters: Rosemary Wysocki and Barbara Poole; sister-in-law, Rosetta “Anne” Severance; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands: Jack Cuddington and Fred Dykema; infant daughter, Debbie Cuddington; grandson, Daniel Dykema II; great-grandson, Keegen Doty; and brother, Harry Nowicki II. There will be no funeral service as were her wishes, but a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Phoebe's final resting place will be at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery in Standale.
