Joan Adrian & Family
Aunt Phyllis leaves a legacy of love, grace, patience, intelligence, talent and faith. What a blessing to grow up in the glow of this amazing woman. I will never forget Lisa telling me that her Mom never raised her voice in anger. Aunt Phyllis would say in her normal calm and sweet voice, "oh, I'm feeling so angry". I can just hear her - the harshest thing she could come up with! She was so accomplished in so many ways and traversed West Michigan to obtain an education degree and Masters ...when getting around was not as easy or connected as it is today. ..and ...imagine a "girl" as valedictorian of the graduating class in 1937!
She always made people feel special, gazing into your eyes with such keen interest and a loving engagement in whatever was being said.
She took such joy in playing the piano, presenting her gift with a quiet contentment radiated in that beautiful smile. Less than a year ago she played a rousing rendition of the Air Force song for me in honor of our son in the military.
Thank you for you, Aunt Phyllis.
Although we mourn her loss, heaven rejoices and she is wrapped in the embrace of angels and loved ones who have gone before.
Condolences to my cousins and their families. Her legacy is you.
