Phyllis M. Hartman's Obituary
Phyllis M. Hartman, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Poppen Residence. She was born September 1, 1937 to George and Hatti (Dechaney) Schoenmaker in Muskegon. Phyllis was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She had worked at the Secretary of State office in Muskegon Heights prior to her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, spending time and going out for dinner with family and friends. On June 9, 1956, she married Ronald Hartman in Muskegon Heights and they have been together for 66 years. Ron survives her along with four children, Douglas (Lori) Hartman, Lori Landis, David (Mariannis) Hartman and Rhonda (Dan) Breese; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters along with her son-in-law, Forrest Landis Sr. and granddaughter Tracy Marie Smith. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Phyllis on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11:00 am, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
