Phyllis Ann Hoffmann's Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis Ann Hoffmann, age 74, of Haslett, MI passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was born January 2, 1943 in Johnson City, Tennessee to Carl and Virginia Adkins. On September 14, 1973, she married Guenther Hoffmann and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1992.
Phyllis was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit for many years and donated not only money, but her time to help with the upkeep of the church. She was a business owner, loved to garden, read books and dance. Phyllis was always there for her family and friends and will be missed by all her knew her.
She is survived by three daughters: Patricia (Alan) Bard of West Olive, MI, Michelle (Robert) Minniefield of Roseville, MI, Monika Hoffmann of Haslett, MI; grandchildren: Nicole (Jason Trexler) Gabrail, Natalie Gabrail, Emily Williams, Erica Williams, Catriona Williams, Andre Hoffmann, Robert Minniefield, Jr., Mya Minniefield, Donavon Minniefield, and Avery Minniefield; siblings: Malissa (Bob Day) Stone, Sylvonia (Robert) Hickman, Wayne Adkins; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Virginia; sister, Diane Adkins; brothers, Larry Adkins and Bobby Adkins.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave.) with Rev. Michael Goers officiating. Visitation will take place during the reception following the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Phyllis may be given to the American Diabetes Association or The National Kidney Foundation.
