Phyllis Esther (Maycroft) Humphrey's Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis E. Humphrey, age 82, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at her home. She was born April 1, 1931 in Muskegon to Raymond and Esther (McNitt) Beattie. The former wife of Eugene “Duke” Maycroft, later married Jack A. Pellegrom, who preceded her in death in 1988. She was married to Rollin “Ron” Humphrey in 1993, he preceded her in death in 1998. Phyllis was employed as a waitress for over 30 years at Bill Stern’s, later Tony’s and retired from the Pineapple Café’ in 1992. She was a former member of Slovak Hall, Tatra Hall and Muskegon Moose Lodge. She is survived by: her daughter, Victoria Domin; 2 sons, Jeff Maycroft and Chris (Lynette) Maycroft; special cousins Virginia Kolarik and Dorothy Eadie; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Esther Moodt; brother Jack; 2 sons, John and Michael Maycroft and their half-brother, Steve Maycroft. A PRIVATE SERVICE will be held. She will be laid to rest in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
