Phyllis "Peggy" Langlois' Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis D. “Peggy” Langlois, age 89, passed away Saturday morning, May 30, 2015, at Christian Care Nursing Center. She was born in Iowa Falls, IA on May 4, 1926 to Benjamin and Laura (Smith) Shultz. She grew up in Willmer, MN, married Donald Langlois and together had 12 children. Peggy had worked as a waitress for many years, and then as a sales clerk at Kmart until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Peggy was a loving and caring person who will be missed dearly by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by 11 children, Sandra (Darrell) Derby of Fruitport, Margaret Witt of Stuart, FL, Donald Langlois of Whitehall, Frances Saylor of Thompsonville, Thomas (Tami) Langlois of NC, Deborah (Jim) Nielsen of Farmington, MN, Mark (Michelle) Langlois of Muskegon, John (Sandy) Langlois of Copemish, MI, Laura (Terry) Strait of North Muskegon, Matthew (Kim) Langlois of Stuart, FL, Marlene (Daniel) Shenefield of Spring Lake; 35 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 5 great- great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Langlois; one brother, Marlen Shultz and one sister, Alvina Douglas. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 10 AM Saturday, June 6, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3552 Apple Ave. with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION will be Friday evening from 5-8 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. Burial will take place in the Alden Cemetery, Alden, IA. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Christian Care Nursing Center; 2053 Sheridan Dr. Muskegon, 49442. A note from the family-Christian Care is a wonderful facility and their staff took excellent care of Peggy in the years she lived there.
