Phyllis Ann Langlois' Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis Ann Langlois, age 70, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on February 24, 1949 to Harvey and Catherine (Burns) Scanlon in Beloit, WI. On July 15, 1967 she married George M. Langlois in Muskegon and he survives her. In her early career, Phyllis worked at Sally John’s Bakery and Doo-Drop Inn and later spent 15 years driving truck with George. Phyllis was active in the different ministries at Central Assembly of God, where she and George were members for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. George and Phyllis loved spending time on the water and spent many days boating on the local lakes. Phyllis absolutely adored her family, especially her grandchildren. George and Phyllis were inseparable, as George always says, “she’s my fine print.” Along with her husband of 52 years, Phyllis will be dearly missed by her son, Denny Langlois; grandchildren, Jessika, Morgan, Christian and Sebastian; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Levi and Xavier; siblings, Linda Nadort, Daniel (Jobey) Scanlon, Jackie (Mike) Dykman and Colleen (Tom) Pace; eight brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 8 at 11AM at Central Assembly of God (896 Home St., Muskegon, 49442). Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, August 7 from 5-7PM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Central Assembly of God. Please visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
