Phyllis J. Morey's Obituary
Phyllis J. Morey, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Muskegon. She was born on June 23, 1943 in Muskegon to Tunis and Margaret (Olthouse) Henion. Phyllis was a member of the Muskegon Eagles #668 Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family, and was the fishing “River Queen” in the U.P. Phyllis was an avid bingo player, enjoyed bowling, and playing poker with her friends. She worked for Reeths Puffer as a bus driver for 17 years before retiring in 1992. SURVIVORS include four children, Kathryn Morey, Tina (Joe) Sauve, Colleen Morey, and Charles (Chelsea) Morey; six grandchildren, Olivia (Remington) Brown, Gregorey Morey, Joseph McKenna, Cierra Sauve, Chase Sauve and Charlemagne Morey; along with three great grandchildren, Shayne, Caiden and Colson. Phyllis was preceded in death by the father of their children, Merle Morey; her parents; brothers, William Henion and Walter Henion; and sister, Marge Garber. A Celebration of Phyllis’ life will be 2PM Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the FOE Eagles #668 (621 W. Western Ave.).
