Phyllis H. Priest's Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis H. Priest, age 84, passed away October 5, 2005 at Spectrum Heart Center in Grand Rapids. She was born on June 1, 1921 in Muskegon to Dennis and Mary (Hoffman) Wilder, and had been a life resident of the area. Mrs. Priest was a charge nurse at Brookhaven for 22 years, before retiring in 1982. She was a member of Northside Bible Church, and loved playing bingo. On January 16, 1965 she married Robert L. Priest, and he survives her along with 5 daughters, Sandy Miller of Reed City, Joanne Tregoning, Mary Sherwood, Geri Gannon all of Muskegon, and Pat (Noel) Cady of Wolf Lake. Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Holly) Priest of Whitehall, Tom (Diane) Priest of Muskegon; son-in-law, Ernie (Darlene) Uhlbeck; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by daughter, Karen Uhlbeck, and son-in-law, Jim Tregoning. SERVICES will be 1 PM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.
with Rev. Lowell Wood officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-9 PM Friday. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Northside Bible Church and Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana would be appreciated.
