Phyllis I. Erickson's Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis I. Erickson passed away Monday evening, September 8, 2008. She was born January 27, 1924 in Belding, MI to Elan and Lena (LaFond) Oberlin. Mrs. Erickson was a life-long home maker. She loved her family, enjoyed Lake Michigan beaches, boating, and holidays, especially Christmas. On December 5, 1942 she married William H. Erickson in Ionia, MI and he survives her along with 2 sons, Thomas E. (Bette) Erickson of Spring Lake, William R. (Julie) Erickson of North Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Sarah (Diego) Luna of Grand Prairie, TX, Jolie (James) Shepherd of Chicago, IL; 4 great-grandchildren, Diego and Olivia Luna, Jamie and Jana Shepherd; and a sister-in-law, Violet Erickson. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Erickson; 2 brothers, Elan Oberlin, Jr. and Dean Oberlin; and a sister, Ellen White. According to her wishes, there will be no services.
