Preston James VanderKooi's Obituary
Mr. Preston James VanderKooi, age 47, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born November 15, 1960 in Grand Haven, MI to Leo and Carolyn (Barnhard) VanderKooi and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. Preston had operated Shoreline Restoration and had worked in the restoration and cleaning business for 10 years, previously for Serv-Pro and Prestige Restoration. On February 15, 1980, he married the former Rhonda K. Meisenheimer in Muskegon and she survives him, along with 3 children, Matthew (Jodi) VanderKooi, Kristy VanderKooi, and Carolyn VanderKooi; 3 grandsons, Ayden, Brycen, and Colten; his parents, Leo and Carolyn VanderKooi; 3 brothers, David (Joan) VanderKooi, Timothy VanderKooi, Donald (Mandy) VanderKooi; 2 sisters, Joyce (Ron) Corridan, Janice (Bruce) Barbour; mother-in-law, Lois Meisenheimer; 2 brothers-in-law, Gary Meisenheimer, David (Missy) Meisenheimer; 2 sisters-in-law, Lonna (Mike) Hulings and Linda (Joe) Potter. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Anchor of Hope Church of the Nazarene (2875 Whitehall Road.) with Pastor David Cadle officiating.
