Priscilla Ann Johnson's Obituary
Priscilla Clanton-Johnson, age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born to Charles and Josephine Jackson on January 29, 1959, in Muskegon, MI. Priscilla, nicknamed “Rinky”, attended Muskegon Public schools. She graduated in the class of 1977, Go Big Reds! Priscilla was known for her love of family and her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking, collecting black art, and her sharp memory for trivia. Priscilla was an U.S. Army Veteran from 1979 to 1988.
She leaves to cherish her memories children: Iesha Finney-Clanton, Wendell Johnson Jr.; her mother; Josephine Jackson; grandchildren: Kenson Davis Johnson and Wendell Johnson III; siblings, Angelo (Patrice) Jackson, Tony Jackson; and a large, loving extended family, which includes special friends: Wendall B. Johnson, Sr., Linda Gordon, Carol Young, Debora Green, Audrey Allen, and Portia Kidd. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Jackson; grandparents: Roberta and Mozell Clanton; uncle, John Clanton; cousin, Donald Black; aunt, Elsie Clanton.
VISITATION will be Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM – Noon at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave. Muskegon, MI 49442. MEMORIAL SERVICE will follow at Noon with the REPAST following at Beulah Baptist Church, 2601 Manz St. Muskegon, MI 49444. The family asks that you wear colorful clothing to remember Priscilla.
