Quinton "Pete" Petersen's Obituary
Mr. Quinton “Pete” Petersen, age 68, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, March 30, 2005 at his home. He was born in Muskegon on April 28, 1936 to Wallace and Audrey Petersen and had been a lifelong resident. Pete graduated from Muskegon High School in 1955, where he played baseball. Mr. Petersen was retired from Brunswick Corporation, where he spent 43 years and retired in 1996. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, a long time member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles, was also a devoted U of M fan, and a lifelong Detroit sports fan. Pete enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, bowling, and loved doing yard work. Many childhood friends and co-workers, along with a large loving family, will greatly miss his mild demeanor and always friendly way of life. Pete’s pride and joy was always his devoted wife Yvonne, of 47 years, and his loving children and grandchildren. SURVIVORS include his wife, Yvonne (Nicolai); 2 sons, Scott (SuZanne), Craig (Stacie) all of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Pam (Jeff) Wilcoxson of West, TX, Paula (Joe) Gorajec of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren, Jera, Jessica, Scott and Corbin, Brandon, Sarah and Ryan, Yvonne and Kelly Jo, Courtney, Craig II, and Nathan; brother, John (Sue) Petersen; 2 sisters, Betty (Bob) Harp, and Sue Card all of Muskegon. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 6-9 PM Friday at
