Rachel Hutchison's Obituary
Mrs. Rachel Hutchison, age 92, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 in Muskegon. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 19, 1927 to George and Minna (Aswad) Hodge. On November 11, 1945, Rachel married Frank O. Hutchison and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2013. Rachel and Frank enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed eight trips to Hawaii. She is survived by four daughters, Nancy Bordeaux, Peggy (Bob) Carr, Becky (Gary) Goosen, and Lilly (Chris) VanderSlute; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Steven “Hutch” Hutchison; son-in-law, Gene Bordeaux; grandson, Daniel Hutchison; one brother and one sister. Due to Covid-19 and concerns with social distancing, SERVICES for Rachel will be PRIVATE. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. MEMORIALS in her memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
