Ralph L. Calabris' Obituary
Ralph L. Calabris, of Spring Lake passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 24, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family at Heartwood Lodge in Spring Lake. He was born June 2, 1955 to Michael and Rikki (Oszust) Calabris.
Ralph was an amazing person. He was loved by all for his generous and kind heart. He always took the time to help anyone in need. He was a very talented man. He loved woodworking and building things from scratch. He could make anything. His smile always lit up the room, but most of all was his kind and compassionate heart. Despite his living large appearance, his heart was that of a teddy bear.
Ralph is survived by his two daughters, Kara (Bryan) Calabris Van Fleteren and Elizabeth (Scott) De Muynck; his son, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Calabris; his four grandchildren: Liam and Colin Van Fleteren and Rourke and Maeve Calabris. He is also survived by two sisters, Cindy (Edward) Skorupski and Sandy Enos; one brother, Lou (Renee) Calabris and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 PM Friday, September 27, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Father David Gross as celebrant. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Ralph may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
