Ralph Raymond Johnson's Obituary
Ralph Raymond Johnson passed away on Christmas Eve 2013. He was 90 years old. Ralph was born on June 4, 1923 to Alfred and Mary Johnson. In 1979 he married the former Anna DeVries (Hartley). Ralph worked for the County of Muskegon as an equipment operator until his retirement in the mid-1980s. Ralph was active at Evanston Avenue Baptist for many years before joining Calvary Memorial Church. He belonged to the Christian Motorcyclist Association, Chapter of Sonshine Riders. He was a tenor in the Calvary Quartet, and also enjoyed going to the Northside Senior Center. Ralph donated much of his time to others but, when he did find time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and motorcycling. Ralph was a kind, loving, generous, joyful, and faithful man of God who will be most deeply missed. SURVIVORS include his wife, Anna; children, Russell (Joyce) Hartley, Carole (Andy) Anderson, Sandra Davis and Lori (Jack) Perry; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; brother, Al (Judy) Johnson; and sister, Bonnie DeJonge. He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Raymond Johnson and Arlene Bean; great-great grandchildren, Tobin Courson and Kyle Levandowski; brothers, Lyman and Douglas Johnson; and sister, Esther Johnson. SERVICES will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Calvary Memorial Church, 909 E. Giles Road, with Rev. Jeffery Dunn officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Calvary Memorial Church.
