Ralph E. Peake's Obituary
Ralph Eugene Peake, age 83, of Irons, MI, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 in Traverse City, MI. He was born December 22, 1936 in Barry County, MI to Ernest Ray and Bethel (Hallock) Peake. Ralph was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as a truck driver for CWC Textron for 30 years prior to his retirement. On June 6, 1959, he married the former Winona A. “Nona” Wahr in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on November 4, 2011. Ralph loved to be outside and stay active. He liked to hunt and fish, work in his garage, and walk his dog, Rudy. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Duane (Lynne) Peake, Raymond (Melody) Peake, and Brenda (Mike) Adams; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Diane) Peake; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Loretta “Lori” Peake; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters. SERVICES for Ralph will be held 11:30 AM Friday, September 25, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100 underneath the South Portico. VISITATION will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, September 24, 2020 and also one hour prior to the service.
