Ralph W. "Mike" Senecal's Obituary
Ralph W. Senecal, age 90, passed away in Muskegon on January 17, 2011 following a long illness. He was born on November 10, 1920 in Racine, WI, the son of Wilfred and Hannah (Johnson) Senecal and came to Muskegon in 1922. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Ralph was known to many friends and acquaintances as “Mike” and was a familiar figure in the trucking, retail and real estate businesses in the Muskegon area. After his retirement, he was in partnership with his brother for several years in Key Largo, FL. Mr. Senecal is survived by: seven children, David Senecal of Kalamazoo; Scott (Linda) Senecal of Stafford, VA; Paul (Kathy) Senecal of Muskegon; Maryanne (Robert) Ward of Lawton, MI; Barbara (Richard) Medaries of Staunton, VA; Richard Senecal of San Diego, CA; Michelle Senecal of Muskegon; one brother, Wayne (Gloria) Senecal of St. Joseph, MI; and was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marva (Senecal) Shatney and twin daughter’s, Susan and Joan. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Senecal will be cremated and his ashes interred in Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
