Dr. Ramesh “Ron” C. Kakaty passed away Thursday evening, February 3, 2011, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Assam, India and has resided and directed his medical practice in Muskegon the past 33 years. SURVIVORS include his wife, the former Jean Groen; 2 sons, Leigh and Jay (Niccole) Kakaty; 2 grandchildren, Broox M. Kakaty and Bella L. Kakaty, his brothers and family in Assam, India; his mother-in-law, Hilda Groen of Kingston, Ontario; his entire Groen family in Canada and by several very important nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his office manager and friend of 33 years, Mary Schwing. A CELEBRATION OF DR. KAKATY’S LIFE will be held 3PM Monday, February 7, 2011 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100)with Rev. Fr. Anthony M.
