Ramona June Traxler's Obituary
Mrs. Ramona June Traxler, age 86, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the presence of her family. She was born on September 25, 1928 in Muskegon to Ormond and Dorothy (Somers) Cooper, and resided in the area her entire life. Mona was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church where she belonged to their Women’s Guild, Women’s Circle and was a past member of the choir. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. On June 18, 1948, Mona married Robert Traxler and they celebrated 56 years of marriage before he passed away on June 12, 2005. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Debra (Charles) Lothschutz of Twin Lake, Vickie (Tom Trout) Traxler of Ft. Collins, CO, Denise (Kevin) Frahm of Grass Lake, MI, Steven (Deanna) Traxler of Newaygo, MI and Scott (Mary) Traxler of Byron Center, MI; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Wayne (Phyllis) Cooper of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. Mona was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Stanley Cooper, Ronald Cooper, Jack Cooper and Douglas Cooper. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Monday, April 27, 2015 at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church (1568 W. Giles Rd.) with Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5-7 PM Sunday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210, and 1 hour prior to the service at church, from 10-11AM. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Sanctuary at the Park. Memorial Contributions to Laketon Bethel Reformed Church will be appreciated.
