Randall Scott Hodits Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Randall Scott Hodits Sr., age 58, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 20, 2020 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on November 22, 1961 to Rudolph K. and Sandra (Kaiser) Hodits. In March of 1986, Randy met the love of his life, Nancy Renee Medendorp; they married later that same year on November 8th. Randy was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Harlan County. He was a member of the Michigan Beirut Veteran Group and attended New Beginnings Assembly of God Church. Randy had been employed by Structural Concepts for 25 years where he was a skilled machinist and a world-class brake press operator. Randy loved his family and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and going for deer rides with his wife, Nancy. He also enjoyed blues music, muscle cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy; four children and their growing families, Robert (Emily) Medendorp and son Crue; Rachael (Zachary) Toel and their children Loudin, Adilyn, and Declan; Randall Scott (Rylie) Hodits Jr. and son Royce; and Rudolph A. (Gabrielle) Hodits; his father, Rudolph K. Hodits; and brother, Roderick (Cynthia) Seberry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Hodits; infant brother, Bobby Hodits and older brother, Paul-Mark Hodits. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held 2:00PM, Sunday, August 6 at White Lake VFW Post 3256, 9370 Walsh Rd., Montague, MI 49437 where Military Honors will be rendered. A reception will follow the service until 6PM. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe in Randy’s name has been set up to cover memorial and celebration of life costs with the remainder to be donated to Gift of Life.
