Randall S. Vander Molen's Obituary
Randall Scott Vander Molen, age 57, passed away in Spring Lake, MI, on Monday, November 17, 2025. Randy was born in Des Plaines, IL, to Raymond and Janice (Vander Bent) Vander Molen on September 7, 1968. He graduated from Denver Christian High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in business from Calvin College. On June 19, 1993, he married the former Mary Beth Stammis, and the two of them enjoyed 32 wonderful years building their family together.
Through the years, Randy was known for being active. His favorite activities naturally changed depending on his season of life. He was active in sports when he was younger, and as an adult, that energy was channeled into his enjoyment of landscaping the yard and helping support his children in their activities. His love for the outdoors matched his love for Colorado where he could often be found running or hiking trails. He had a witty personality and was always up for a good joke or a funny movie (especially his favorites, Dumb and Dumber and War Dogs). He loved his family and was thoroughly proud of his three children. Randy whole heartedly embraced God's grace through his faith in Jesus.
Randy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Beth Vander Molen; three children: Ryan (Ally) Vander Molen, Nick (Aulora) Vander Molen, and Aspen Vander Molen; father, Raymond (Dianne) Vander Molen; four siblings: Patty (Tim) Spykstra, Brad Vander Molen, Christine (Rich) Duell, and Mike (Shannon) Vander Molen; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Vander Molen.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Randy at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 1, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lamont Christian School.
