Randell D. "Randy" Huston's Obituary
Randell D. “Randy” Huston, age 63, passed away at home on January 28, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1961, to Dewaine and Shirley (Frazier) Huston in Muskegon. Randy retired from Grand Valley State University due to health reasons but continued to work in his family’s AFC home. Prior to that, he worked at Lomac Chemical Company in Muskegon. Randy cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed his drives to Lake Michigan to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. He especially loved playing pranks on people and loved teasing anyone he met. He loved helping people and often spent any free time volunteering around town helping different organizations. On August 9, 1986, he married Theresa Smith, who survives him along with their three children: Erik Huston, Alyssa (Jordan) Quick, and Ryan (Kyra) Huston. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley (Varney) Milner; siblings Brenda (Dale) Wiley, Kris (Veronica) King, Robert (Beth) Wilson; step-brother Craig (Lori) King; brother-in-law Bill Phillips; sister-in-law Jeannie King; many nieces and nephews; and honorary grandchildren Oliver, Aria, and Rayshon Jr. Randy was preceded in death by his father Dutch, siblings Cindy Phillips, Curtis Huston, and Rusty King.
The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for the compassion and care that Randy and his family received in his final days. Keeping with Randy’s wishes, an informal visitation will be held at Word of Hope Community Center on Friday, February 7th, from 3pm-6pm, located at 268 N. Third Ave., Fruitport, MI 49415.
