Randy L. Parsons' Obituary
Mr. Randy Lee Parsons, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was born on January 30, 1958 to Floyd and Bernice Parsons in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from Muskegon High School in 1984 and worked at Eagle Alloy Foundry for several years as a head core maker and he trained everybody that come through the core maker. I am his step-daughter Kathi Montalvo and very proud to have had the chance to grow up with him. He was my best friend and after my mom passed away we were each other’s rock. My dad was a true country man. He loved going fishing & swimming at Crockery Creek at Ensley Bridge. Sitting in a lawn chair at the side of the creek was a favorite of his. As a family we would ride around the back roads and go bridge to bridge in Ravenna, where he lived out there his whole life. Randy would go fishing with his favorite cousins, Roney Sarvis and Duane Cutler, who have both passed. They are fishing together again. Mom and Dad were truly happy socializing at the bar, setting up a poker game on Fridays or packing up all the kids and food and heading to Ensley Bridge. Friends, family, and food is what I remember most. They were great times and we are all going to miss him so much. I am very lucky to have had him as my Pops. He was a funny, happy-go-lucky person. Randy is survived by his step-daughters, Kathi Montalvo and Kimberly Rudicil; grandchildren, Michael Montalvo, Nicholas Grabe, Tyler Rudicil, Justin Klaus; great-grandchildren, Aliya, Kayden and Angie Montalvo, Lilli, Shelbi and Nikko Grabe, Jayce Rudicil, and Caleb and Jayden Klaus; cousins, Sherlene, Deanna, and sons, Phillip, Greg and Adam and other cousins; and best friends, Carl and Evie Pickard, Kurt Garvey, the guys who worked with Dad at Eagle Alloy, he loved the dice & euchre games with them. Preceding Randy in death is his wife, Sharyn Elaine Montalvo Parsons, who he has been missing dearly; brother, Rodger Parsons; and his son, Michael Parsons. Per Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family to help with funeral expenses would be appreciated.
