Ray LaVerne Cassada's Obituary
Mr. Ray LaVerne Cassada, age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016. He was born in Muskegon on January 28, 1929 to Earl A. and Lola M. (McClain) Cassada. Ray graduated from Muskegon High School in 1947 and from Muskegon Business College in 1949. He had been employed by Lakeshore Machinery and Supply before his retirement in 1982. Ray was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed watching baseball. He is survived by his sister, June Cassada and four cousins, Beverly Shaffer, James (Nancy) McClain, Larry (Janet) McClain and Norma Cassada. VISITATION will be from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be conducted at 1:30 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Parkview Cemetery, Grant, Michigan with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Ray may be made to Muskegon Rescue Mission or Trinity Baptist Church.
