Ray A. "Jr." Plouhar's Obituary
Mr. Ray A. “Jr.” Plouhar, age 86, passed away at his home Sunday, September 1, 2013. He was born on October 9, 1926 in Muskegon to Raymond and Angela (Mazarka) Plouhar, and resided in the Muskegon area all of his life. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as an accountant at Erickson Trucking for many years before his retirement in 1990. Ray was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing cards. He married the former Ernestine Seppala on September 1953. He is survived by 5 children, Janice McCoy of Muskegon, Jeffrey (Karen) Plouhar of Sparta, Judie (John) Alfano of Lansing, Jay Plouhar of Austin, TX, James (Donna) Plouhar of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Rachel McCoy, Jamie Plouhar, Liam and Ian Gapp; and 3 sisters, Patricia (Steve) Rasch, Monica Shimnoski, Constance Olsen; and several nieces and nephews. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Monday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
