Raymond "Sonny" Brown Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Raymond “Sonny” Brown Jr., age 78 passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born on August 26, 1937 to Raymond and Norma (Washburn) Brown. Sonny married the former Beverley Larson and they were lifelong residents of the Muskegon area. Raymond served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, camping, the casino and all his grandchildren’s sporting activities. SURVIVORS include his loving wife Beverley; daughter, Denise (Jeff) Laufersky; 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan and Kaelyn (Cody Carmean) Laufersky; brothers-in-law, Jim Larson and Bill Balcom; in-laws Nancy and Edward Chartrand; his aunt and uncle, Gilda (George) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Balcom. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 6 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev Dan Anderson officiating. VISITATION will be 5-6 pm prior to the service. Memorial donations may be directed to the Johnson Cancer Center.
