Mr. Raymond J. Cejmer's Obituary
Raymond J. Cejmer, age 85, of Luther, MI passed into eternal life Monday, November 7, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Muskegon, MI to the late Stanley Cejmer and Helen (Krolczyk) Cejmer. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Muskegon Heights High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He was employed at Continental Motors and, after moving to Florida, was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as an engineer. Ray was a man of many talents and always had a project under way. He always accepted a challenge, head on, of repairing any item. After returning to Michigan he resided in Luther and very much enjoyed his years on the Little Manistee River. Ray will be missed by his friends and family in Luther, Cadillac, and Muskegon MI.
Ray is survived by his wife of 64 years Nancy (Olsen) Cejmer. Surviving children include Sandra Cleveringa, William (Joanne) Cejmer, Patricia Cox, Dr. Kathy (Tom) Victor and Sheila (Jim) Denison. Survivors include a brother Albert Cejmer; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Cleveringa; and a grandchild, Jennifer Lucas.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, November 12, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St., Muskegon, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 will be from 5-7 PM Friday evening. You may visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
