Raymond Wilson Cook Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Raymond Wilson Cook Jr., age 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Norton Shores on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was born in Muskegon on November 6, 1957 to Raymond W. and Darlene C. (Reed) Cook and was a life-long resident of the area. Ray graduated from Mona Shores High School, class of 1976. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. Ray was an expert painter and worked as a painting contractor with AJ Vallier Inc for over 40 years. Ray was an active member and past Chief of the Muskegon Vikings Linne Lodge #57 and was a member of the Old Newsies. He enjoyed trips with his family, playing softball, going to the casino, and family picnics. His greatest joy came from his family, and he especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Reed (Jordan) Zeedyk, Camron (Tonya) Cook, Andrew Bozell and Molly Bozell; six grandchildren, Tanner, Fischer, Gunner, Kyla, Cambrie, and Liana; his mother, Darlene Cook; two sisters, LesLee (Kevin) Farrel and Cory (Bob) Chancellor; sister-in-law, Julie Cook; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Greg Cook. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at this time. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held from 1-4 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Muskegon Vikings Linne Lodge #57. MEMORIALS in memory of Ray may be directed to the Viking Scholarship Fund.
