Raymond E. "Ray" Ketchum's Obituary
Raymond E. Ketchum, age 62, passed away Thursday morning, April 18, 2024, in Muskegon, MI. He was born May 6, 1962, in Muskegon, MI, to Eugene and Rosmary (Archambeau) Ketchum. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1980 and then went on to obtain an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Ferris State University. He honorably served his country for 6 years in the United States Navy, where he traveled the world. After the service, he was a Shift Supervisor for Automatic Spring and then Pace Industries before his retirement.
Ray loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid University of Michigan fan and enjoyed watching U of M football. He was also a devoted Detroit Red Wing and New England Patriot fan. He loved spending time with his son, Zack, nieces Heather and Kayleigh and his great-nephews and nieces.
Ray is survived by his son, Zachary (Ashley Clements) Ketchum; brothers, Thomas (Susan) Ketchum and James Ketchum; sister, Lori Ketchum; and nieces, Heather (Leo) Helms and Kayleigh (Jason) Bayne. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julie Jenkins; stepdaughter, Heather Jenkins, and his faithful dogs, Rocky and Sugar.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the VFW Post 3195 (5209 Grand Haven Rd., Norton Shores, MI 49441) from 1pm-4pm.
