Raymond L. "Sonny" Marvin's Obituary
Raymond L. “Sonny” Marvin, age 78, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born April 20, 1938 in Muskegon to Paul and Lucille Marvin. Sonny was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Holton American Legion. On November 7, 1959, he married Judith Schelske in Holton, MI. He worked for Sealed Power Corporation for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. Sonny was an active member of the Holton Gun Club. SURVIVORS include his wife, Judy; 3 children: Shelly (Brent) Shaffer of N. Muskegon, Laurie (Ken) Bigelow, Tony Marvin both of Spring Lake; 8 grandchildren: Melissa (Eric) Whitlow, Robert Crampton III, Ryan Shaffer, Colt Shaffer, Kristy (Mark) VanderMuelen, Mark (Morgan) Bigelow, Megan Bigelow, Derek Marvin; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Leball; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles and 2 sisters, Patti and Linda. SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
