Raymond J. Mazurkiewicz's Obituary
Mr. Raymond Joseph Mazurkiewicz, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He was born on September 22, 1954 in Grand Rapids. A lifelong resident of the area, Ray graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1972 and was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Ray worked as a salesman at Jones Sporting Goods and Trophy House. He enjoyed playing softball on the City of Muskegon team, bowling, and was an avid golfer. He achieved a goal on his “bucket list” after playing at Pebble Beach with his good buddy, John Monette. In the “early years,” Ray enjoyed a Budweiser with the many, many friendships he had. Ray is survived by his sister, Barb Ksiazkiewicz; sister-in-law, Terry Mazurkiewicz; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Mazurkiewicz; mother, Evangline Ruminski; brother, Stephen Mazurkiewicz; and brother-in-law, Joe Ksiazkiewicz. Many thanks to best friend, Michele Ribesky, for the years of friendship and true, true friendship at the end, as well as the many, many over the years. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, March 31 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (1716 6th St, Muskegon, MI 49441) with Fr. Charles Hall presiding. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30PM, Wednesday, March 30 with Vigil Prayers at 7:00PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
