Raymond Charles Morrow's Obituary
Mr. Raymond Charles Morrow passed away quietly on January 10, 2014. He was born on February 14, 1925 in Muskegon, Michigan to Ronald and Clara. He was a life-long resident of Muskegon Heights and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1943. Raymond followed his father in joining the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country in the South Pacific during WWII. On November 8, 1945 he married his lifelong love, Corinne L. Peterson. Raymond was a member of Temple United Methodist Church, for over 60 years, VFW Post 446, Marine Corps League, UAW Local 113, life member of Muskegon Eagles 668, and American Legion Post 9. He retired from Teledyne Continental Motors in the mid-1980s after 45 years of employment. SURVIVORS include his 3 daughters, Cynthia Thomas, Susan Groulx and Christine (Joseph) Stewart, all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Louise Dasler of Delaware and Jane (Edward) Roshko of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife Corinne in 2011, and his parents; and sister Virginia Werly. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Temple United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bowman officiating. VISITATION will be held on Tuesday from 2:00-5:00 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 and one hour prior to the start of the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Harbor Hospice or Supper House.
