Mr. Raymond "Bud" Stefanich's Obituary
Mr. Raymond R. “Bud” Stefanich, age 84, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in Muskegon. He was born September 8, 1935 to Frank and Antonia (Kosters) Stefanich in Java, S. Dakota and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Bud was a U.S. Army veteran, had worked at Bennett Pump for 42 years before retiring in 1997, and plowed snow for years for Jesse's snow plowing and used cars. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and The Lithuanian Club, and enjoyed attending the Buckley Old Engine Show every year. He was married to Barbara (Jacobsen) Stefanich for almost 62 years, and she preceded him in death on April 28, 2017. Bud enjoyed being outside and taking care of his garden and his yard at the home that he and his wife built and had lived in for nearly 46 years. He was the happiest having family around, or sharing a beer with a friend. Survivors include 2 children: Richard “Rick” Stefanich, Janet (Chuck Claflin) Stefanich; 1 granddaughter: Taylor (Trevor Bodnar) Stefanich; 1 great-granddaughter: Brinley Bodnar; siblings: Betty Craig, John (Jean) Stefanich, Bob (Marian) Stefanich, LeRoy (Jane) Stefanich, Linda (Rod) Luce and sister-n-law Roberta Lewis. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Delbert Stefanich and Lee Lewis. Private family services will be held at a later date.
