Raymond K. "Kenny" Link's Obituary
Mr. Raymond K. “Kenny” Link, 67, died peacefully Sunday morning at his residence. He was born Sept. 7, 1941 to Raymond K. Sr. and Helen (Irish) Link, and lived here all his life. He worked for the City of Muskegon as a Traffic Communications Worker for 35 years prior to his retirement. Ray painted miles of lines down Muskegon’s streets, and taught a member of the rock band “Poison” how to paint lines at Summer Celebration one night. That guy later referred to Ray in an interview as a “cool dude in Muskegon”. He married Mary E. Barrera in 1962 in Muskegon, and she survives him. Other survivors include his children: Tammy Link of Muskegon, Raymond Anthony “Tony” Link of Jacksonville, FL, Julie (Daniel) Sharpe of Whitehall, Joseph Link, and April Link both of Muskegon; his great-grandson; and his sister, Sharon Monroe of Muskegon. Ray was always happy at home, and liked to sit in his backyard and “look around”. He will be missed.
