Dear June,
Vern and I missed sitting in front of you and Ray at the West Shore Symphony Concerts. I, personally, will miss seeing Ray around town, because I have known him since I was sixteen years old, when the "Heights Stationery Store" was next to Avery's Drugstore where I worked as a teenager. I taught Ray, John, and Jim how to talk "Arp" language. Every time I saw Ray, he would smile really big and say, "Warpell, harpow arpare yarpou, Larpoarpis?
And Dear Ray, Jr., and Fred, and Ray's granddaughter, Carolyn,
I know that you will miss your dad and grandfather, but I also know that you already understand that famous phrase that, seemingly, well-meaning people seem to always say, "He will be with you, always." You see, it is really true, and not just a well-meant phrase. For the rest of your lives, you will feel your father, your mother, your grandfather, and your grandmother "with you!"
Your father/grandfather, Ray, was a wonderful human being!
But, I don't have to tell you that, because I know he is still "with you!"
With Love,
Lois and Vern Kortering##imported-begin##Lois (Griffes) Kortering##imported-end##
