Rebecca Jo Epplett's Obituary
Rebecca Jo “Beckee” Epplett, age 51, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Beckee was born on April 24, 1974, to Charles and Patricia Pederson in Muskegon, Michigan. Beckee graduated from Holton High School in 1992 and continued her education, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Baker College. On July 13, 1995, Beckee married her husband, Jon Epplett.
Beckee was a loving, strong, and selfless individual. She had a passion for birdwatching and a special gift for crafting. She created beautiful floral arrangements for weddings and proms, as well as a wide range of pieces for art fairs. Her caring and nurturing nature was evident in her work at Holton Public Schools and throughout her many years coaching cheerleading. Above all, Beckee treasured her children and grandchildren. She made it a priority to be there for those she loved and was the life of every party she attended.
Beckee is survived by her husband, Jon Epplett; children, Bradlee (Ashlyn) Epplett, Brandonlee (Katelyn) Epplett, and Brytnee Epplett; grandchildren, Storee Epplett and Blakelee Epplett; mother, Patricia Pederson; and sisters, Dawn (Jerry) Showers and Cheryl (Ben) Brooks. Beckee is preceded in death by her father, Charles Pederson.
A celebration of life for Beckee will be held April 19, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Holton High School, 6477 Syers Rd, Holton, MI 49425. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Beckee’s memory.
