Renee Scudder's Obituary
Renee Scudder, age 74, passed away Monday morning, December 11, 2017. She was born August 16, 1943 in Muskegon to Charlie and Phyllis (Funnell) Ohrenberger. Renee had worked for her father as a secretary for his Shell Station and Firestone Store in Montague for many years. But more importantly, she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. On January 21, 1980 she married Phillip E. Scudder in Scottville, MI. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Montague and the Dirt Dauber Gardening Club. SURVIVORS include her husband of 37 years, Phillip; 2 children: Dawn (Michael) Bates of Tucson, AZ, John (Kimberly) Prescott of Traverse City, MI; step-son, Mack (Jessica) Scudder of Belmont, MI; 8 grandchildren: Chase, Kayla, Mara, and Cody Bates, Trenton and Garrett Prescott, Jude and Beck Scudder; sister, Jill (Victor) Myrick of Rothbury; brother, Jack Ohrenberger of Montague; special nephew, Jason (Ayako) Ohrenberger of Missouri; and several other nieces and nephews. A CELEBRATION OF RENEE’S LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the United Methodist Church of Montague (8555 Cook St., Montague 49437) with Pastor Mike Riegler and Jim Tanis officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM the morning of the service at the church.
