Rev. Dingeman T. Teuling's Obituary
Rev. Dingeman T. Teuling, age 98, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 23, 1918 to Cornelius and Sijke (Schouten) Teuling. Dingeman graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1936. While in high school, he started working as a commercial artist for Dana Printing and continued there for seven years before attending Fort Wayne Bible Institute in Indiana. While at college, Dingeman met the love of his life, Gloria Sprecher, and they were married on June 1, 1945. After graduation, Dingeman and Gloria embarked on a traveling ministry across the nation to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. After the birth of their third child, Gloria decided she needed to focus on their children, so in 1954, the family settled in Muskegon. Dingeman continued his traveling ministry, and in 1974, Gloria rejoined him back on the road until he retired in 2008, one month prior to his 90th birthday. Dingeman also spent 40 years leading chalk art seminars around the country and even in South Africa and New Zeeland. He also loved architecture and was instrumental in designing several buildings and structural projects for Bible conferences, including redesigning the stage at Maranatha. Dingeman is survived by three children, Linda Teuling-Stuteville, Rev. David (Rosa) Teuling and Cristie (Mark) Faltinowski; five grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessica) Faltinowski, Nathan Faltinowski, Melissa (Shawn) Jensen, Gabriel Isaac Teuling and Grace Alethea Teuling; six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Savanah, Dominic, Carolyn, Kamden and Luke; one brother, Job (Alice) Teuling and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Teuling; his parents; son-in-law, David Stuteville; three sisters, Wilhelmina “Minnie” VanderStelt, Maike “May” Castle and Ann Spoelhof. MEMORIALS may be made to Baptist Haiti Mission (www.BHM.org)
