For the 20 years I was at Samuel I truly appreciated having Tom as a fellow pastor and friend. I am so glad I could offer him the opportunity to preach on Good Friday and that he would cheerfully and enthusiastically proclaim the gospel. He was always gratefully received by the people of Samuel and for me it was a joy to have him in Samuel's pulpit. He was a faithful servant. Uncle Tom was always one of my favorite people. Kind and generous almost to a fault, he was also a superb minister and counselor--never judgmental, but not indulgent either. Although I did not know Reverend Willamsen, I wanted to let the family know that we at Chapman and Cutler were deeply saddened to learn of his passing.
