Mr. Rex Eugene Dake's Obituary
Rex Eugene Dake, age 80, of Muskegon, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Rex was born on June 2, 1937, to Rex and Mabel (Pierce) Dake in Muskegon. He had a passion for fishing and the outdoors. He also enjoyed woodworking, whittling, bowling, golfing and he cherished family events. Rex is survived by his siblings, Joseph (Pam) Dake, Mabel Ann (Earl) Kersting, Rebecca (Roger) Hancock, Claudia (Harry) Clark; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dake, he is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Rex is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Dake; great nephews, Isaiah Clark and Lawrence Duell; and his great niece, Barbara Kersting. A Funeral Service will be 3 PM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at The Sytsema Chapel, 231-726-5210. Visitation will be Friday, August 18, from 5-7 PM.
