Rhonda Sue Howe's Obituary
Rhonda S. Howe, age 63, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on September 16, 1956 in Muskegon to Jesse and Margaret (Ferrier) Doyle, and resided in the area all of her life. Rhonda first worked at GHSP in Grand Haven for 20 years. During her time at GHSP, she pursued her life-long dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, and worked a number of years at Hackley Hospital. She then continued her career at Mercy VNS Hospice before retiring in 2014. Rhonda loved her family and cherished the time they spent together. She enjoyed being at the lake house, riding on the pontoon boat, and socializing with friends and family. She will be missed by many. In May of 1988, she married Floyd “Rock” Howe, and he survives Rhonda along with their three children, Justin (Rose) Howe, Samantha Howe, and Andrew Howe; four grandchildren, Landon, Scarlett, Jace, and Ava; two sisters, Shirley (Lee) Gomez, and Wanda Finkler; in-laws, Tom Backer and Shelly Doyle; and many nieces and nephews. Rhonda was preceded in death by an infant son, Jacob Howe; her parents; siblings, Elaine Backer, Terry Doyle, David Doyle, Bruce Doyle and Dennis Doyle; and brother-in-law, Mark Finkler. A Memorial Service celebrating Rhonda’s life will be 3PM Thursday, September 10, 2020 under the south portico of The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 2-3PM Thursday.
