To SHIRLEY Are friendship was very short !!! Sorry I miss the visitation I will always remember you both evey time I start the truck. Because of the move it was to late to make it. Richard has been my brother-in-law for nearly 60 years. My fondest memory of him dates back to when I was 10 years old. Richard and Shirley had just become engaged. A serious illness required that I be admitted into the hospital where Shirley had recently started her nursing career. The preceding night, however, I stayed with Rich at his house in Traverse City. He cared for me, fixed a bed for me and, in the morning, cooked a nice breakfast for me. He was kind, gentle and caring. This special memory of Richard that I will forever cherish was formed all those years ago by am impressionalble and freightened 10 year-old boy who found comfort in his compassionate care.
