Richard John Beishuizen Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Richard J. “Bumpa” Beishuizen Jr., age 67, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on February 17, 1953 to Richard J. and Doris (Meyers) Sr. and was a life-long resident of the area. On June 16, 1972, Rich married the former Susan M. Brown in Muskegon and they were blessed with 48 years of marriage. At the age of 15, Rich started working as a bagger at Eberhards Grocery Store, and over the course of a 25-year career, hard work, and dedication, he worked his way to become President of the company. He then accepted a management position with Country Fresh Dairy where he worked for 25 years prior to his retirement in 2018. Rich was on the board of directors for Michigan Grocers and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan. He enjoyed traveling and golf, with his highlight hole-in-one occurring on 8-8-2008 on hole #8 at Fruitport Golf Course. He was a selfless and caring husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and the yearly family vacations to Disney World will be cherished forever. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Susan; sons, Eric (Amanda) Beishuizen and Ryan (Tara) Beishuizen; four grandchildren, Brendan, Colby, Carson, and Ava; mother, Doris Beishuizen; brother, Don (Mary) Beishuizen; sisters, Judith (Corwin) Tromp and Joni (Rudy) Veeneman; siblings-in-law, Dave (Martha) Brown, Dan (Brian) Brown, and Sally (Lester) Ellis; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Beishuizen Sr., on August 11, 2018. Due to current restrictions, SERVICES for Richard will be PRIVATE.
